Taiwanese scrap rises on year-end demand outlook

Taiwanese scrap prices have been rising for a third consecutive week on firm bookings from Turkey and year-end demand expectations. Major local Taiwanese steel mill Feng Hsin Iron & Steel has increased its scrap purchasing prices by TWD 200/t ($6.4/t) and rebar sales prices TWD 300/t ($9.6/t) this week.
