Taiwanese scrap sees further decline on weak demand

The Taiwanese scrap market saw more losses mid-week after prices stabilised at the start of the week. Kallanish assessed HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap at $365/t cfr Taiwan, down $3/t from last week. Major local Taiwanese steel mill Feng Hsin Iron & Steel has cut its scrap purchasing prices by TWD 200/t ($6/t) this week.
