Ternium expects approval in August for CSA acquisition
Latin-American steelmaker Ternium expects to receive approval from the Brazilian authorities to conclude the acquisition of slabmaker CSA in August, according to ceo Daniel Novegil.
The acquisition of CSA is set to improve the integration of Ternium in all its markets. Currently the company calculates that it buys some 4 million tonnes of slabs in the open market for its operations in countries such as Mexico and Argentina.
