Ternium Colombia output meets guidance in first year
Latin American miner and steel producer Ternium says its long steel output in Colombia is in line with guidance, Kallanish notes.
The new Palmar de Varela plant produced 282,000 tonnes through mid-February after having completed 365 days since the start of its operations, including a 3.5-month trial period. Ternium estimates Palmar de Varela long steel output will reach 309,000t by the end of the first quarter.
