Ternium targets July 2021 Mexico HRC mill launch
Ternium now expects its new hot-strip mill in Pesqueria, Mexico, to start up in July 2021, the firm confirmed during a recent conference call monitored by Kallanish.
The company paused the investment in Mexico earlier this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but resumed it over the summer. It now expects the first coil to be processed at the line in July 2021, with full operation to be seen towards the end of next year.
