Tsingshan signs nickel development agreement with Eramet
China's Tsingshan Group has signed an agreement with Eramet Group on the Weda Bay nickel deposit in Indonesia, according to Eramet. The release shows Weda Bay has more than 9.3 million tonnes of nickel deposits and was acquired by Eramet in 2006, Kallanish notes.
Tsingshan and Eramet expect Weda Bay to have an annual refined nickel capacity of 30,000t and to start production in 2020.
