Turkey’s 2023 rod exports slump despite fourth-quarter recovery
Following their October recovery and November uptick, Turkish wire rod exports continued to grow in December 2023, more than trebling on-year to 110,782 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They were also up from 101,573t in October and 92,702t in November.
Their average price was $585/tonne, versus $689/t in December 2022 and $577/t in November 2023.
