Turkey almost triples February wire rod exports
Turkish wire rod exports grew on-year for the fifth consecutive month in February, almost trebling on-year to 142,800 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They were also up from 92,702t in November, 110,782t in December and 68,482t in January.
Their average price was $628/tonne, versus $713/t in February 2023 and $614/t in January 2024.
