Turkish mills' domestic scrap demand firms, imports becalm
Turkish mills have further increased domestic scrap buying prices since last week and halted import purchases, Kallanish notes.
No imported scrap booking was heard on Wednesday. Mills are focusing on steel sales before starting to book April-shipment imported scrap cargoes. Their March-shipment purchases are almost complete, following a strong buying spree in previous weeks. On finished steel sales, however, producers are facing subdued demand.
