Turkish scrap prices stabilise, demand calms
After booking numerous deep-sea cargoes throughout last week, Turkish mills’ scrap demand cooled on Friday, although two mills were still in negotiations.
The latest HMS 1&2 80:20 bookings were confirmed at $380.5/tonne cfr Turkey from the EU and $385.5/t cfr from the Baltic, as previously reported by Kallanish. On Friday, another Baltic-origin booking from Denmark was heard concluded by a Marmara mill at $385.5/t cfr, indicating a stabilised trend …
