Ukraine continues to reduce scrap purchases amid war

Ukrainian mills reduced procurement of ferrous scrap in January-April, according to the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet. The volume purchased decreased by 50.4% on-year to 620,100 tonnes, Kallanish notes. The supply of scrap to Ukrainian enterprises also fell by 47.1% to 583,500t.
