Ukraine’s September scrap purchases increase, exports surge
Ukrainian mills increased procurement of ferrous scrap in January-September, according to the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet.
It was up 5.8% on-year to 878,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes. However, domestic supply of scrap to Ukrainian enterprises was reduced by 7% on-year to 703,000t.
