US drops one rig, Canada sheds 15
The number of active oil and gas rigs in the US dropped by one in the week ended 1 April, Kallanish learns from oil services company Baker Hughes. Canada's total decreased by 15 week-on-week.
The US rig count fell to 620 from the prior week’s tally of 621. Of the total, 508 rigs are for oil and 110 are for gas. Two rigs are categorised as miscellaneous.
