US trade policy seen hurting nickel prices
US trade policy is backfiring on its own economy, the dollar, and nickel prices, according to Roland Mauss of scrap collector Oryx Stainless.
At the start of the summer holidays in July LME nickel was at around $14,100/tonne before descending $1,000/t in August. This was probably as a result of weaker-than-expected purchasing manager figures from China and the general uneasiness in the markets, Kallanish hears from Mauss.
