US imports slip in June

US imports appear to have ticked down in June, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Citing US Census Bureau data, the institute puts June imports at 2.02 million total short tons – 1.71m st of which was finished. That’s down -2.5% and -8.3%, respectively, from May.
