US public spend on construction disappoints, says AGCA
US public spending on construction is lagging so far in 2017 according to the Associated General Contractors of America (AGCA). Private sector spending is doing better but year-to-date figures still lag 2016, the AGC says in a note sent to Kallanish.
Public construction spending year-to-date shrank -3.4% from January through October combined, compared with the same months of 2016, with year-to-date losses concentrated in infrastructure categories.
