US raw steel production decreases on-week
Weekly raw steel production in the US for the week ended 16 March was 1.714 million short tons, with a capability utilisation rate of 77.2%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Raw steel production decreased 1.2% week-on-week. In the week ended 9 March, raw production was 1.734m st and utilisation was 78.1%.
