US rigs fall by 5, Canada down 3

Both the US and Canadian rig counts dipped in the week ended 18 October, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes. The US lost five net rigs for a total of 851, down 216 from the equivalent week last year. Rigs geared for oil production increased by one, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by six.
