US rigs fall by 34, Canada down 1
Both the US and Canadian rig counts declined in the week ended 8 May, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count fell by 34 net rigs to 374, a historic low and down 614 from the equivalent week last year.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by 33, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by one.
