US rigs fall by 64, Canada down 4
Both the US and Canadian rig counts again dropped sharply in the week ended 24 April, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count fell by 64 net rigs to 465, down 526 from last year’s equivalent count.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by 60, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by four.
Texas led the notable losses by state with 31, followed by New Mexico with 14. No state posted a net rig gain.&…
