US semis imports surge in April

US imports of semi-finished steel goods appear to have spiked in April, Kallanish learns from the US Department of Commerce. The US hit a 12-month high in April with 864,955 tonnes of blooms, billets, and slabs. The previous high was set in August with 825,694t.
