US sheet gets support from demand, possibly supply
US sheet prices rose organically last week, and some buyers predict a weekend fire at AK Steel’s Middletown, Ohio, works may push them even higher this week, Kallanish reports.
Kallanish raised its hot-rolled price to $690-720/short ton and kept its cold-rolled price level at $880-900/st. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
