US stainless surcharges to rise in September
US stainless surcharges are slated to rise in September, Kallanish learns from company pricing announcements.
The surcharge for austenitic type 304 stainless sheet will rise from $0.40/pound to $0.43/lb, according to price sheets from AK Steel, Allegheny Technologies Inc, North American Stainless and Outokumpu USA.
The surcharge for type 316 sheet will likewise increase from $0.54/lb to $0.59/lb.
