Vyksa Steel hikes output 22% despite 'difficult' economy
OMK’s Vyksa Steel Works increased welded pipe production by 22% on-year in 2015 to 2.2 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from the firm.
Large diameter pipe (LDP) output alone was up 30% to 1.3mt, but railway wheels production declined -30% to 316,000 units. The encouraging pipe output is attributed by the firm to strong consumption of pipe in Russia.
