Demand, supply constraints see Warrior first-quarter earnings surge
Alabama-based metallurgical coal producer Warrior Met Coal’s performance remained strong in the first quarter. Kallanish understands the company benefitted from historically-high coal prices caused by the combination of strong demand and supply constraints across the globe.
Warrior Met Coal earned $182.3 million on sales of $500.5m in Q1, nearly 25% above last year’s Q1 earnings totalling $146.2m on sales of $382.4m.
