WTO rules against Indonesian galvalume duties
The World Trade Organization (WTO) Appellate Body has found that Indonesian duties on galvalume do not qualify as safeguard duties. These therefore do not fulfil the country's obligations under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). The case was brought by Vietnam and Taiwan in 2015 and could mean Indonesia is forced to alter its duties, Kallanish notes.
