Yonggang runs trial production of new converter
Jiangsu Yonggang Group's subsidiary, Lianfeng Steel, has launched the first batch of billet production from the new converter at its No.3 steelmaking plant, Kallanish notes.
The capacity of this 170-tonne converter is 1.8 million tonnes/year. To produce more high-quality special steel, it has also equipped the converter with two 160t KR iron desulphurisation units, three 170t ladle furnaces, one 170t RH vacuum degassing device and two continuous casting machin…
