Zenith completes half of Nantong coke capacity
China’s long steel giant Zenith has achieved the first production from its second coke oven at the new Nantong steelworks under construction, indicating the commissioning of half of the coking plant, Kallanish notes.
Construction work on four identical coke ovens began one after another in 2020. The company intends to eventually reach 3.4 million tonnes/year of coke capacity in total (see Kallanish passim).
