Zenith Steel closes down two BFs
Zenith Steel in eastern China has seen the shutdown of two blast furnaces after nearly 19 years of continuous production of pig iron.
The No.2 and No.3 BFs of the steel plant started construction in 2003 and began to produce pig iron in October 2004. Both BFs have a volume of 510 cubic-meters and a combined production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
