Chile's environmental body fines BHP's Escondida
Chilean environmental authority SMA has fined BHP Chile`s Minera Escondida copper mine $6.6 million for irreparable damage caused by water extraction in the Las Vegas de Tilopozo, in the Salar de Atacama region.
