ASEAN wire rod market edges up slightly
Imported wire rod offers rose slightly in ASEAN this week on the back of improved market sentiment in China, Kallanish notes.
Offers for Chinese mesh-grade 6.5mm diameter wire rod are $5/tonne higher from last week at around $525-535/tonne cfr Manila. These offers are lower-priced than offers from the larger Chinese mills because they are believed to be shipped without full-payment of VAT.
