Global pig iron production rises in February
Global pig iron production increased by 2.15% on-year to 101.427 million tonnes in February, Kallanish notes from worldsteel data.
Turkey saw the most significant growth, as the country faced a devastating earthquake in February last year, resulting in a temporary stoppage of production. Its three-digit growth was therefore on account of a low base for comparison.
