LKAB mulls pellet plant closure amid rail problems
Iron ore railway derailments are resulting in growing stockpiles of ore at LKAB’s mines and could force the Swedish miner to close a pelletising plant at either Kiruna or Svappavaara. This would amount to an annual revenue loss of SEK 5 billion ($459.4 million) up to 2030, LKAB says.
