Indian automotive production increases, market optimistic amid festivals
Indian automotive output increased 2% on-year to 2,519,105 units in September, compared to 2,479,256 units produced last year, reports the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Output includes passenger vehicles (PV), commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles.
Meanwhile, automotive production also grew 2% on-year to 13,907,485 in April-September versus 13,679,522 units produced a year ago.
