Indian crude steel, DRI production rises in 2021
Owing to reviving domestic and export demand, Indian crude steel production grew 18% on-year to 118.13 million tonnes in 2021 against 100.26mt last year, according to worldsteel data. India produced 10.38mt of crude steel in December, marginally up by 1% on-year, Kallanish notes.
