JSW steel production rises 12% in December quarter
Indian steel giant JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production rose to 6.87 million tonnes in the third fiscal quarter through December (FQ3). This is up 8% quarter-on-quarter and 12% year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to JSW’s regulatory filing, the company’s Indian operations segment accounted for 6.63mt in FQ3. This segment’s capacity utilisation was at 94% for the period.
