Kardemir sells 60,000t billet promptly
Kardemir published a new price list and opened domestic sales for billet on Thursday, Kallanish notes.
150mm square billet was kept unchanged at $580-590/tonne ex-works, excluding 18% VAT, from the previous list issued on 14 December 2023.
Kardemir closed sales after selling 60,000 tonnes promptly. Although CIS-origin billet was offered at $545-550/t cfr Turkey, Turkish buyers preferred buying from Kardemir despite its higher prices.
