NLMK supplies ultra-low magnetic loss electrical steel
NLMK Group has delivered non-grain-oriented electrical steel to Ruselprom for the production of electric propulsion motors and marine generators, the steelmaker tells Kallanish.
This advanced steel is characterised by ultra-low specific magnetic losses: 30% lower than for its commercial counterparts. The steel’s magnetic and mechanical properties enable the production of electrical equipment that is more powerful and energy-efficient, the enterprise claims.
