OMK increases efficiency with new testing equipment
United Metallurgical Company's (OMK) Belgorod plant - Energomash - has installed new equipment for tensile testing of metal at elevated temperatures (up to 900°C) at the central plant laboratory the mill.
Such tests are necessary for product quality control and research in the development of technologies, the enterprise claims. Investments amounted to more than RUB 18.5 million ($310,000), Kallanish notes.
