OMK produces new LDP for Gazprom projects
United Metallurgical Company's (OMK) Vyksa Steelworks has become the first plant in Russia to manufacture high-strength large-diameter pipe (LDP) made from K70 steel, which fully complies with Gazprom requirements for the construction of trunk pipeline systems with an operating pressure of up to 14.7MPa, the steel company says.
Pneumatic tests of pipes were successfully completed at Gazprom Transgaz’s testing site in Yekaterinburg, Kallanish notes.
