Scrap suppliers seek higher values in Turkey
Turkish scrap market activity improved towards the end of last week as more mills inquired about scrap.
Improved demand caused suppliers to increase their offer levels, but Turkish buyers insisted on lower prices.
The latest bookings were confirmed at $382/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 80:20 from Sweden and the US. On Friday, a booking from the EU was heard at $380/t cfr, although this was not yet confirmed at the time of publication.
