Tata registers India sales drop, automotive segment strong
Tata Steel reported a 2% on-year decline in India operations sales in the September quarter to 4.82 million tonnes. Automotive segment deliveries nevertheless registered a September-quarter record high, as Tata began to receive approvals from automotive OEMs for cold rolled steel from its recently commissioned Kalinganagar CR mill.
