Tata ups domestic sales following export duty imposition
Following the imposition of India’s 15% export duty, Tata Steel says its deliveries and profit after tax dropped marginally in the fiscal quarter ended 30 June (FQ1). The company's output, however, grew 6% on-year to 4.92 million tonnes, but sales dropped 2% to 4.07mt, Kallanish notes.
Domestic deliveries were successfully ramped up amid the export curbs, Tata says.
