Tata’s production falls on-quarter, deliveries up despite monsoon
Tata Steel India’s crude steel production grew marginally, by 2% on-year, to 4.81 million tonnes in the September quarter, against 4.73mt produced a year ago. Production, however, was down 2.23% on-quarter against 4.92mt produced in the June quarter, Kallanish notes.
According to the steel company, production was down on the back of a planned maintenance shutdown during the September quarter.
