Turkish domestic, import scrap prices remain firm
Turkish mills have further increased domestic scrap buying prices since last week due to the continued rise in imported scrap prices, Kallanish notes. Some producers, however, cut their prices on Wednesday after increasing at the end of last week.
Imported scrap prices have increased since Tuesday following a correction seen at the end last week. Following a Canada-origin scrap deal at a higher price, scrap suppliers have hiked price targets in Turkey.
