Turkish domestic scrap remains stable despite lower-priced imports
Turkish mills are keeping their domestic scrap buying prices unchanged this week, Kallanish notes. However, as the lira continues to depreciate against the dollar, values are softening on a USD basis.
Business activity in the domestic market remains sluggish, while imports are on hold. No imported scrap booking has been heard so far this week following a southern Turkish mill's bookings of four deep-sea cargoes last week (see separate article).
