Turkish merchant bar quotes slide amid competition
Turkish merchant bar producers struggled to keep their prices unchanged last week as competition became tougher amid weak demand.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $610-635/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, down $5/t from the low end of the previous week’s range.
Demand remained insufficient throughout last week.
