Turkish merchant bar offers soften amid buyer pressure
Turkish merchant bar producers have been forced to decrease their prices in the export markets amid weak demand, lower raw material prices and increasing buyer pressure.
On Friday, producers’ official export quotes were pegged mostly at around $620-635/tonne fob Turkey for angles, IPN-UPN sections, flat bars and IPE sections, down from $630-640/t the previous week.
