Turkish scrap mostly flat, market debates trend
Turkish mills are keeping their domestic scrap buying prices unchanged this week, Kallanish notes. However, as the lira continues to depreciate against the dollar, values are softening on a USD basis.
Business activity in the domestic market remains moderate, while demand for imported scrap has been sluggish since the beginning of the year. Two bookings from 29 December were heard in the market on Wednesday.
