Turkish scrap plummets on fresh Denmark deal
Scrap prices in Turkey continued to fall on Tuesday on a fresh deal concluded from Denmark.
A Marmara long steel mill bought Denmark-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $390/tonne cfr Turkey. This is down from previous Baltic deals at $400-402/t cfr last week.
A US deal in which HMS 1&2 80:20 corresponds to $397/t cfr was concluded earlier at average $403/t cfr but only disclosed on Tuesday.
